2015 November 21 Canada Music Week Recital
2015 November 21 – Northwood United Church On Saturday November 21st, the South Fraser BCRMTA hosted a Canada Music Week Recital. This recital was the third of three events held during the fall of 2015, designed to encourage teachers to explore contemporary Canadian music. 2016 February 13 Honours Recital
The Honors Recital celebrates the achievements of students and their teachers and will take place on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at First United Church in White Rock. The assessment for eligibility for participation in this recital is entirely mark based. We had a great Intermediate/Senior Festival this year, with 217 entries! Our adjudicators were Mark Anderson from UBC and Michelle Mares from the University of Victoria; they offered our students and teachers much enthusiasm and wisdom in their adjudications. We wrapped up the week with two celebration recitals on February 27, where we saw wonderful performances from over 50 students! 2016 Primary / Junior Celebration Recitals
The Junior festival was a great success again this year. Our adjudicators were very happy with the quality of the students they were hearing. We had a total of 405 solo entries, 17 ensemble and a total of 35 teachers entered students. On Saturday, March 5 we had three recitals where we had the opportunity to Celebrate all the studetns who recieved Gold level marks.
